Privacy Policy

Effective Date: May 12, 2026

Your privacy is a core feature of OnlyPlayer. We build software that respects you. We do not track you, we do not sell your data, and we do not host any of your media.

1. The Short Version

OnlyPlayer operates entirely locally on your device. When you play a video, it stays on your device. We have no servers to store your media, no analytics SDKs to track your behavior, and no advertising networks to sell your attention.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

Because OnlyPlayer is designed as a pure, offline-first local media player, we physically cannot collect the following:

3. Biometric Security & App Lock

If you choose to secure your OnlyPlayer experience using our App Lock feature, you may utilize Face ID or Touch ID. This authentication process is handled entirely by Apple's secure enclave (LocalAuthentication framework) on your device.

4. Photo Library Access

To allow you to import and play videos, OnlyPlayer requests read-only access to your device's Photo Library. The videos you select are read locally on your device and are never uploaded, transmitted, or shared with any external servers.

5. Apple App Store & Crash Reports

While we do not use third-party analytics, Apple may collect anonymous crash reports and opt-in app usage data if you have explicitly permitted Apple to share this data with developers in your iOS device settings. This data contains no personally identifiable information and is used strictly to fix bugs and improve performance. Additionally, Apple processes subscription receipts; we validate them locally and do not transmit them to any external servers.

6. User Rights & Data Deletion

We believe in absolute data minimalism. Because you do not have an account and we collect zero personal data, there is no data stored on our end for you to request or delete. Simply uninstalling the app will instantly erase all your local app configurations and history.

7. Changes to This Policy

If we ever decide to change our privacy practices (for example, if we introduce an optional cloud-sync feature in the future), we will update this document and ensure that any new data practices remain strictly opt-in and transparent.
